Mookie

When Mookie, a folksie singer-songwriter from the UK, got in touch ahead of a summer music festival, she needed something special — a set of promotional cards that would capture the dreamy, soulful spirit of her music while giving fans something memorable to take home. Her vision blended vintage textures with celestial symbols, handwritten lyrics, and a sprinkle of magic.

The challenge? Create a set of printed pieces that felt both handcrafted and ethereal, while serving a clear promotional purpose — sharing her contact details, website, and lyrical voice.

We began with logo exploration, playing with various typographic directions — from hand-drawn styles to serif and soft script options — to find something that felt truly ‘her’. The final logo featured a whimsical, moon-kissed style that paired beautifully with her music and visuals.

I then designed a series of custom lyric art cards and a feature promo card, including:

Lyric-based illustrations inspired by Mookie’s songs
A warm, celestial palette with nostalgic texture overlays
A central promotional card featuring her final logo
Layouts designed for handouts, merch tables, and festival bags
Harmonised typography and mood to match her sound
The result was a tactile, transportive set of print pieces that audiences lingered over and loved to keep — part artwork, part keepsake, and completely Mookie.
